When I was a little girl I thought this was the just most romantic little moment in the world, and if someone were to come up to me in person and ask me if my opinion has changed (which would be really weird) I would probably lie and offer something less embarrassing, perhaps which didn’t involve ten year olds in a Frank Capra movie, because I wouldn’t want this mysterious person to laugh at me. However, this is the Internet, where there is always someone weirder, so I’ll be honest and admit that, no, it really hasn’t. I get goosebumps.
Partially I think it’s because we know that boy grows up to be Jimmy Stewart, and I, for one, am actually going to love Jimmy Stewart til the day I die.

Before she ever became a Golden Girl, told a story about St. Olaf, or stepped foot in a wicker-swathed TV version of Florida, Betty White was a Hollywood stalwart who was such a familiar face that she has earned Emmy nods in every decade except the very first of the awards ceremony.
